Before an Arrest

Do the police want to speak with you?  Is a government employee calling to ask you questions?  Well, DON’T ANSWER!!   CALL A LAWYER FIRST!!  There is absolutely nothing good that can come from a conversation with an investigating officer.  Even if you think that you have done nothing wrong, you will say something to incriminate yourself, implicate yourself, or otherwise simply give the investigator information about you that will lead to further investigation.

The best time to hire a lawyer is BEFORE YOU ARE ARRESTED.  Before the detectives write their report and hand it over to the Prosecutor is the most vulnerable time for you, the time when you need a lawyer the most.  Your lawyer will immediately make contact with the government authorities and act as an intermediary.  Your lawyer knows what to say and will not incriminate you.

Working with the police directly is a specialty of the Lombardo Law Office.  On many occasions, we have successfully convinced an investigating agent NOT to file their report with the Prosecutor, and NOT to file charges.
